Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote tool needs only your gender, birthdate, how you'd describe your health, whether you use tobacco, how much coverage you're looking for, and how long you want it. Those six pieces of data are all that's needed to see carrier rates. Your name, address, and medical history come into play only if you decide to complete an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They are the rates each carrier provides for the health level you selected when getting quotes. Your actual premium is determined by the carrier's underwriting process, which might confirm your class, move you to a better one, or place you in a different one. This site does not offer insurance or guarantee any specific price.

What happens when I click Apply?

You provide your name, and an application form appears using the exact quote you selected. From there, the process continues on the carriers' secure platform. You may stop at any time and return to finish later, and you'll sign your name electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed agency (License 0B75129), handles all applications.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier, the amount you're seeking, and what you report about your health. Carriers offering immediate underwriting can make a decision the same day for qualified applicants; each quote note tells you if an exam is required, might be required, or is not needed.

Is a longer term better?

Choose a term for the years during which a loss of income would create real hardship: a mortgage that's not paid off, children still at home, a business with debt. Longer terms cost more each month but lock in a lower rate for more years. The quote tool shows side-by-side costs for 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year options.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not gather your contact information, we do not sell or share any data about visitors, and we do not use cookies to track you. Visit the privacy page for a complete list of what information is collected and who may access it.
